This playgroup is located in Roseville, California and  offers a safe space for children to play, create, problem solve, be curious, get frustrated, get excited, and/or just be. There are no social or play expectations; children are encouraged to follow and explore their individual and social interests.

How is this different from any other day at the park? Ideally, it’s not different. However, unfortunately, many neurodivergent families experience judgement, shame, and unrealistic expectations during play and social interactions from others around them in community settings.

In The Learning Owl playgroup, both children and caregivers are supported with opportunities to learn and strengthen self-advocacy, social-emotional and self-regulation skills, and strengthen coordination and motor planning, and movement and sensory processing needs as indicated.
